Beast in Show News
We are hyped to introduce our new Natural History range of ToDryfor tea towels, launching with Crystals, Living Corals, and Cock of the Rock.
Inspiration for the new range is taken from a collection of vintage illustrations featuring the wonders of our natural world. Prepare to do your best David Attenborough impression whilst washing up. 'Here we are at the heart of the family home to observe the drying of dishes, a daily ritual of homo sapiens. If we can get in close enough we will hopefully be lucky enough to see the male of the species taking part as well.'
Woop! We've just launched our NEW Night In tea towel, designed by our current illustrator crush, Julia Bereciartu.
The latest design in our ToDryFor-branded range of tea towels, Night In features a sassy, topless, pizza-eating cat-lady. She's our kinda gal.
We don't know about you, but it feels to us that there is a new wave of Girl Power happening at the moment. This time around it’s no longer about teenage girls having each other’s backs but about women supporting women; it feels like women are rallying together with the rise of girl gang mentality, hip new young WI groups, and an online network of working mums giving each other a ‘you can do it’ boost via their Instagram feeds.
So go on, take your bra off, kick back with your cats, and speed dial the pizza delivery boy...
Beast In Show is delighted to once again be collaborating with Rob Ryan with the creation of this stunning Helping Hand tea towel in support of The Sick Children's Trust. Rob has very kindly donated the Helping Hand artwork; all profit from the sale of this tea towel goes directly to The Sick Children's Trust. You can see Rob's stunning original papercut that the design is created from over on Rob's blog...
The Sick Children's Trust provides free, high-quality 'Home from Home' accommodation, as well as emotional and practical support to families with seriously ill children in hospitals across the UK.
Oh heavens. It's actually, kind of, like, approximately, perhaps, very nearly Christmas. Better start thinking about writing some cards and deciding what to get for Great Auntie Joan... again...
If, like us, you like to leave things until the last minute (or perhaps the new year) then you had better take a look at our last order dates to make sure your stuff arrives in time for you to quickly wrap it in a carrier bag and stick a ribbon on it!
We are oh so pleased to announce Beast In Show's first foray into the world of digitally printed tea towels!
Having previously struggled to achieve the high quality that we strive for and obtain with screen-printing, Tom Clohosy Cole's Destination Space tea towel was the perfect challenge with its many colour gradients, textures, and vibrancy. We are now happy to put the ToDryFor seal of approval on this digitally printed design, having finally accomplished the crispness of detail and boldness of colour that have, until now, been unobtainable. Hooray! More of this to come...
Oh my! We are thrilled to have been featured in the October 2016 issue of The Simple Things magazine. Earlier in the year we prattled on to the lovely Frances Ambler for what seemed like hours (sorry for banging on, Frances!) and had our photos taken by cool grrrl and lifestyle photographer Natalie Healeas Photography (see the ones from the cutting room floor over on our ToDryFor Facebook page).
The result is a surprisingly coherent interview with us actually looking like we scrub up ok!
We are incredibly excited to announce we'll be collaborating with illustrator and comic book master mind John Allison, creating brand spanking new products featuring some of his most loved characters including Shelley Winters (pictured) and Desmond Fishman.
We have long been fans of John's work, and we're so pleased that we finally got the chance to work on a range with him. Watch this space!
